 Victoriaville Group

Announces Strategic Partnership with

Deaton-Kennedy Company and Jean Vaillancourt

Victoriaville Group, Canada's largest casket manufacturer, is pleased to announce a strategic partnership with the Deaton-Kennedy Company, and in the process, has enlisted the services of Jean Vaillancourt as Director of its Cremation and Commemorative Products division.

"We are very pleased to be aligning ourselves with such a reputable company that shares many of the same core values and business practices as we do," says Alain Dumont, President of the Victoriaville Group. "The company wants to diversify its brand and to offer many different types of solutions for its valued client base, starting with stationery. We are delighted to have Jean on our team."

Jean Vaillancourt brings with him 12 years of funeral service experience. As Director of Canadian Operations for Deaton-Kennedy and Director of Cremation and Commemorative Products for Victoriaville, he will be spearheading the stationery project. "I am very excited at the prospect of working with these two dynamic companies and look forward to developing many new initiatives with them. Victoriaville's sales team has earned a tremendous reputation within our industry because of their professionalism and involvement in regional, provincial and national associations. Glen Main will continue to service Western Canada as a representative of Deaton-Kennedy. I feel privileged to be working with a group I hold in such high regard," said Vaillancourt. The Deaton-Kennedy brand has made huge strides in the U.S. and Mr. Vaillancourt says he is confident that they can carry some of that momentum through into Canada.

The Deaton-Kennedy Company is one of the largest stationery manufacturers in North America and this year marks their 80th anniversary. Margaret Deaton, owner and Chairman of the Board, strongly believes this partnership will enhance the Deaton-Kennedy brand in the Canadian market. "We feel Jean Vaillancourt's knowledge of the Canadian stationery market combined with the Victoriaville Group's representation will put us in a position to better serve Canadian funeral service professionals coast to coast."
