Press Release

Alain Dumont, President of Victoriaville Funeral Supplies Inc. is proud to announce expansion plans for a new 40,000 square foot distribution hub to be built this fall at a cost of $2 Million.

This new facility will be adjacent to the company's "state-of-the-art" manufacturing complex of its Vic Royal division located in Victoriaville, Quebec, and will be key to the rationalization of its distribution operations and logistics efficiencies.

‘‘We are confident this will be viewed as yet another example of our commitment to maintaining our position as Canada's premier provider in the manufacturing and distribution of funeral supplies.  This clearly demonstrates why for over 60 years the name Victoriaville has been synonymous with leadership in the funeral industry throughout Canada and the United States,'' said Tom Ross , National Sales Manager of the company.

"We remain committed to differentiating our product offering based on service, quality and consumers market trends. All of our latest strategic investments along with today's announcement are in keeping with that goal" reiterated Dumont.

In 1998, after a fire destroyed its manufacturing facility, the company announced a major project to modernize and relocate the facility with a total original investment of $22 Million. Coupled with all the other expansion projects since that time, this new project will bring the total cost of the Vic Royal manufacturing complex to $32 Million, which is by far the largest investment in the death care supply industry in Canada to date.
