Poplar is a tree which adapts easily to several different climatic conditions and soil types, and has an almost unlimited natural richness. It is a soft hardwood, with good mechanical strength, adheres easily and has little tendency to split.

Its wood is a white color, straight and fine grained and has a comparatively uniform texture, resulting in a product with a very beautiful visual quality once worked on by Victoriaville's hundred artisans. An unpretentious product that offers a great quality/value ratio.

Beauty, nobility and durability are the terms used to describe this wood which is mainly used in the manufacture of molding, toys, and caskets.
